I’ve been to quite a few Biergartens since I’ve lived in München and this is bar far my favorite. It used to be a local place for me when I lived in Schwabing. However, I now live on the opposite end of town and I still go to the Chinese Tower whenever possible.
Not many Biergartens have live Bayerischer Musik and such good food. It’s just a München sort of place in the middle of one of the most beautiful public parks in the world… the English Garten.
The feeling here cannot be duplicated anywhere else. On a sunny, warm day, there are few places I’d rather be hanging out with friends than the Chinese Tower.

the cyclocross race my mountain bike hosts there is a beer garten that would meet your approval
I will be too busy setting up, racing, then hosting the lil belgian’s kid’s race to be hanging out drinking beers
but
I know that it is a good time
that much is obvious
gwadzilla…. enjoy it anyway. CX is brutal but oh so fun!
