Even before I manage to get around to doing my own blog post on the TDR this year, a team mate Romain sent me a number of questions as an interview. Here is the result of that interview. Just click on the link.

Michael, we met at casey and taryn’s weddin. I was acting the “best man” role. congrats on the finish! What an accomplishment. I’d love to read about your adventures and look at any pics you took along the trip. If you post em, I know plenty of state side bikers to come here and read it. regards, Brett
Hi Brett.. I definitely remember. Thanks for the congrats. Yes, I know that I need to write something and I feel guilty for having not done same. In any case, I’ve uploaded all my photos to Flickr here – http://www.flickr.com/photos/wunnspeed/sets/72157630763788702. Hope that helps the “Jones” a bit.
Rock star! Again, hell of an accomplishment there Mike – especially sticking with it. I never thought about the loneliness aspect. I wonder if living abroad helped you keep your head and not DNF, though? All that way to come to the states so you had no choice but to finish, right?
It might have helped. Also, being alone a lot and riding alone, mostly, probably also contributed. Of course, when I set my mind to something, I usually finish it and coming overseas as well as knowing all those people were watching my SPOT gave me a big push.
