I’m a ‘trailing spouse’ living in München, Deutschland where I live with my lovely wife and our cat. Here I work as a Freelance English teacher doing ESL (English as Second Language).
Born in 1962 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. I grew up in Illinois, California, Missouri and just a little bit in Kansas (any is too much). My family is a hodgepodge of step and half brothers, sisters, “stair” (two steps away) sisters, “stair” mothers and fathers. My family is scattered throughout the Continental U.S.
Kera on the other hand, was born in 1970 in Montana, lived in Missoula for awhile and then her family moved to Washington where she lived with her family till she took off to random parts of the world being an exchange student in Germany and India as well as going to college here and there.
I guess if I had to admit to a crowning acheivement or two I’d say being the first IMBA rep. in Missouri and then the Western Missouri Rep. for many years would be one of them. Another would be helping found Heartland Sports Promotions (one of the best race promotion groups in the Midwest). Also, working with many fantastic folks throughout the midwest building and maintaining some of the best singletrack that I’ve ever ridden.
Even working my way toward 50, I still love racing and riding bike, particularly singlespeeds and fixed gears.

Hey Michael,
I don´t know if you remember me, but we met in München @ Olympia Park.
I am from NYC and I was living in München at the time, I now live in Frankfurt.
Anyway, I may need a partner for the Transalp Race. I rode it last year as well.
My current partner is on the brink of a mental breakdown and I have to start looking for someone to ride it with. IF your up for it, shoot me a email:

Came to your site via Big Wheel Racing looking for some gear. There’s no link on that site, so I’m hoping you might be able to help. A buddy of mine and I are going to Deals Gap, TN/NC for an organized riding (motorcycles, though I’ve done my fair share of mountain biking) weekend and one of the events is a BigWheel race down part of the road (318 curves in 11 miles, but the BigWheel race is only like a mile). The BigWheels are completely of our own design and construction, and I would early love to have a Big Wheel Racing t-shirt for my buddy and I. Are they available? If so, or even if not, please contact me.
Thanks
I knew you were from MN!
