More hiking… Wendelstein and more stuff

We just can’t seem to stop ourselves. Last weekend, we went back out to the mountains by ourselves for a couple of reasons. One was to try out the Bayerischer Oberland Bahn (BOB) and the other was just to get the hell out of town. We really had no real idea of where or what we were going to do other than go hiking.

At one of the train stops I saw a beautiful mountain peak out the window of the train and said that I’d love to go there sometime. As it turns out at the last stop, Bayerischerzell, we could see the same mountain. Therefore, that became our goal. It turns out that it’s called Wendelstein and you basically hike up 1250 meters from the train station to the top. Not bad for a days work.

Sadly, the photos don’t do it justice. In any case, click on our photo to go to the pics on Flickr.

A couple of interesting finds (the first thanks a buddy Rat Trap Press).

I found the flowing video really funny. Hope that you enjoy it as well.

Ths site has some incredibly nice creations, bike , motorcycle, art, etc. Click on the photo to go there.

More pics of it here. I’d so love to have a bike like this. I just can’t imagine how fun this must be.

Check out a cool new-ish website it’s not what you think. You’ll see stuff like this video there as well as the bike above.

Bike parts as art….

This is beautiful and read more about it by clicking the picture or going to KO5.

What does one say here. Hmmm. First, I'm a "trailing spouse". Kera, my wife, works hard and keeps us afloat. I work... not nearly as hard and contribute enough to let us have fun. Oh, I also make bags for bikepacking under the name of SpoK Werks I'm an English Teacher (English as a Second Language) here in Germany. It's an amazingly rewarding thing to do. I'd never have believed it until I'd tried it. I also make bikepacking bags under the name SpoK Bags. Just search for us in Flickr. We're adventure nuts (i.e. cycling, travel, life, friends, etc.). We attempt to live each day as fully as we can manage.
